Time has passed and your regular dose of fun is on the offer – we are back and ready for action! After a rather huge Shakespearean cake to eat, we opted for small, delicious bits to munch one by one: some hillarious sketches for you to laugh, roar or awww at. And then a concert with some freaking good music to jump, listen, or dance crazily to. So much to do this year that the prepositions had to step aside a bit.
This year’s show is even more special as we are going to have an all-star cast – our teachers will surprise both you and us with their enthusiasm and involvement in the entertainment section of KAA. But then, some say a classroom is strikingly similar to a stage, so they must have had a plenty of opportunities for practice, eh?
Atelier Babylon – May 13th, 2014
Christmas is coming and we bet you are amidst the baking-and-shopping stage, along with studying for yet another exam. Well, we are baking something too. And it will be for you. Guess what: it is the Christmas edition of KAA Festival!
Have a merry Christmas time with the Merry Wives of Windsor, written by our dearest Shakespeare and performed by our beloved ActOfKAA. The real Christmas atmosphere will come with Christmas carols sung by an a cappella trio, and we’ll throw a party with the well-known Raw Bishops and a new arrival: Fresh Out of the Bus. And of course, for all this to be great, we need you to come. We’re counting on each and every one of you!
MMC – December 19th, 2013
KAA Festival, originally only a small cultural event for the students of the Department of British and American Studies, is now growing in size and changing its nature completely. After previous very successful years, we are back in a new attire: a bigger show at a bigger venue and for the whole public because this year’s motto is “We want More”.
The ActofKAA theatre troupe has rehearsed an amazing play titled “Out of Order” by Ray Cooney, which was given an award for Best New Comedy in Britain. Come to have fun and stay with us also for the after-party – the entertainment will be taken care of by the music band The Raw Bishops.
Atelier Babylon – May 7th 2013
Christmas is almost here, so let us celebrate!
Once again the students of the Department of British and American Studies have prepared something special just for you. Three short plays will be perfomed by our Theatre Ensemble, followed by a musical performance by The Raw Bishops.
Something about the plays: Qwendolyn’s Gambit is an absurd comedy, Rupert and his Seven Russian Email Brides a very hilarious modern play and The Great Manger Mystery? See for yourself 🙂
A4, Nultý priestor – December 13th, 2012
Let’s celebrate the end of this term together.
Our theatre ensemble will introduce Ivan Vyrypaev’s Oxygen, a “rap parable”, and Robertson Davies’ Eros at Breakfast.
The plays will be followed by performances by The Raw Bishops and The Jazz Nut Trio.
DK Zrkadlový háj – May, 10th 2012
Let us cordially invite you to our very first, very special Christmas Evening to celebrate that magical time together. Students of the Department of English and American Studies have prepared a unique program for all of you.
The theatre group will introduce their new play “The Potman Spoke Sooth”, a criminal comedy with absurd elements. The play will be followed by a musical performance by Andrej Urbanský (guitar), accompanied by an amazing singer, Andrea Kyslanová.
